Myth #1
Acupuncture is only good for treatment of PAIN.

Fact:
Acupuncture can successfully aid in the treatment of sprains/strains, allergies, insomnia, infertility, PMS, alcohol and drug addiction, asthma and much more.

Myth #2
Acupuncture can’t be used for PREVENTION of ILLNESS.

Fact:
Acupuncture is traditionally used to strengthen immune system functions to prevent illness, and additionally can relieve stress to keep us healthy.

Myth #3
Acupuncture can’t be used for treating EMOTIONAL problems.

Fact:
Acupuncture can assist in treating anxiety, depression and many other emotional imbalances including grief, loss, fear, panic attacks and anger.

Myth #4
Acupuncture is very PAINFUL and DANGEROUS because of the use of needles.

Fact:
Acupuncture utilizes disposable needles and most of the time there is absolutely no pain felt.

Myth #5
Acupuncture doesn't really work – it is a PLACEBO AFFECT.

Fact:
There is increasing evidence from scientifically valid studies that acupuncture does interrupt messages on their way to pain identification centers in midbrain and elsewhere.
