Myth #1 Acupuncture is only good for treatment of PAIN.
Fact: Acupuncture can successfully aid in the treatment of sprains/strains, allergies, insomnia, infertility, PMS, alcohol and drug addiction, asthma and much more.
Myth #2
Acupuncture can’t be used for PREVENTION of ILLNESS.
Fact: Acupuncture is traditionally used to strengthen immune system functions to prevent illness, and additionally can relieve stress to keep us healthy.
Myth #3
Acupuncture can’t be used for treating EMOTIONAL problems.
Fact:
Acupuncture can assist in treating anxiety, depression and many other emotional imbalances including grief, loss, fear, panic attacks and anger.
Myth #4
Acupuncture is very PAINFUL and DANGEROUS because of the use of needles.
Fact: Acupuncture needled are very fine, disposable needles and most of the time there is absolutely no pain felt. If the doctor has really good skills, then there is no feeling at all.
Myth #5 Acupuncture doesn't really work it was a PLACEBO AFFECT.
Fact: There is increasing evidence from scientifically valid studies that acupuncture does interrupt messages on their way to pain identification.
